Notes:
Rage was a band that I thought I had missed for good. I was so glad to hear that they were back together, but disappointed that they weren't coming anywhere close to Texas. No matter - if Wisconsin is where I have to go, then Wisconsin is where I'll be. It was an epic journey just to get there with the rain and coordinating with everyone. In the end, our group included Sheelpi, Tui, Steve, Fernando, Bushra, Damon, some other people, and me. The show was electric. Seeing and hearing 40,000 people rock in unison is a beautiful thing. Tom Morello is truly a guitar god. The solo in Testify using the cord, the intro tuning for Wakeup, the crazy effects, the riffs - it was good fun. The lesser known songs such as Tire Me and Calm Like a Bomb were also nice.
Due to poor scheduling and other misplaced priorities of the group, I missed the first five songs of QotSA's set. I don't really care much Feel Good... or Sick (x3), but missing Do It Again is no fun. The part of the set I did get to hear was good. 3s and 7s, Dead, and Fun Machine are all great.
