Day 3 of the festival wasn't as great as Day 1 (how could it be?), but it was still very solid.

Guns 'N Roses : Like many other people, I have made fun of this new incarnation of Guns 'N Roses. But it's hard to make fun of them too much when they work hard enough to play a two and half hour set. Just like on Day 1, we were forced to leave early, so we were walking away as they were playing Knocking... The songs we did get to hear sounded really good. Even though Axl's fat, he hasn't lost his voice. Sweet Child O' Mine was the highlight.

Tool : Another solid show. We didn't hear any missteps like we did in the Dallas show. I have decided that Lateralus is their best song live. Maynard really gets into it and it really takes you to another place. My only disappointment is that they only played nine songs.

Bloodhound Gang : For someone unimaginable reason, this band is super popular in Europe. They aren't bad or anything, but I just don't understand the deep love affair. They played the two songs I know by them, so good enough.

Oomph! : Their lead singer sang the first couple of songs in a straight jacket. That's pretty much what I remember.

Apocalyptica : Yet another band that Europe loves. We were standing pretty close to the front and the crowds were really packed in. They sounded much different than last time, mainly because they are now touring with a drummer. Pretty good show.

Opeth : Brent and I were able to get really close. Even though they only played four songs in 40 minutes, I really enjoyed it. My favorite was definitely The Grand Conjuration. I'll need to see them the next time they are on a headlining tour.

Die Krupps : Those goofy Germans.

Sebastian Bach : He did nothing to change my opinion of him. He's still a total douche. That being said, he can still sing. And he knows how to work an audience. Good for him.

Jesus Christ Smokes Holy Gasoline : A rock/metal band with lead saxophone. Oh yea.
