Notes:
My second time around at Summer Sanitarium. This time we had 1st row tickets on the right side of the stage. It was the second time I saw a Metallica concert on James's birthday and it's the second time I saw him take a lot of whipped cream pies to the face. Excellent show all around. The new songs went over pretty well, and songs like Blackened are always nice to hear.

The Deftones sound was really, really, really bad. I had no idea what song they were playing at any time.

Linkin Park? Really? They couldn't find a better opener? I guess they were a big band at the time, but I never really cared for them.

Limp Bizkit did okay. I went in with low expectations for these guys, but they were actually decent. Their cover of Sanitarium was nice, but why would you play a cover song by the headlining band, especially when you know the headliner is going to play the same song?
