So I updated the page with two new galleries. I haven't updated that index on the right-side of the page, but there's no need to fret. I'll provide you the links right here in the post.
The first set of pictures is from the Silicon Labs Marathon. Our stated goal was "To Not Be Last". And we succeeded. We finished 289th out of 320 teams. But, you have to take into account that I suck at running and Bill never finished the race and ended up at the hospital. So, technically, we don't really get to say we finished 289th, but whatever.
The second set of pictures is from my recent trip to Jeju Island, Korea. I was there on business supposedly training people. It was raining the whole time we were there, but we still got a chance to go around the island and see some of the sites. We also went to an acrobat show and all the acrobats were between the ages of 5 to 15. I didn't take an pictures of the show and so I mention it here. Good stuff overall.
So as some of you know, I joined one of our company's marathon relay team. Silicon Labs is sponsoring this relay and we put together a couple of teams in our division. I happen to be running the 10K. My team is rounded out by Director Brentonimus Wilsonian, The Bearded Rocket, /F and Gabe' Brother-In-Law.
For the company's internal site, they (read: the man) requested that we put together a team bio. The Bearded Rocket, as our team captain, came up with witty bios for all of us. He also mentioned that I (as in me) would be our team mascot. Whatever that meant.
Fast forward a couple of months to the present (today). We gathered to discuss our race plans and meeting times and such. The Director and The Bearded Rocket also brought in a couple of boxes to this meeting. As the company shirts and other gear had already been handed out, I had no clue as to what was in the boxes. The cafepress.com address on the side of boxes should have given it away.
It seems that there have been plans in place since the writing of the team bios to make a shirt for our groups' teams. What this resulted in was G-shirt, revision 2. You might remember revision 1 from back in the day.
What can I say? The Bearded Rocket did a helluva job on the shirt. And the Director brought the idea to the people. There are now 15 or so co-workers who now possess a revision 2 shirt. And, not only that, they also brought in some coffee mugs with the same picture. Excellent stuff.
The revision 2 picture was taken with my new Canon SD400. Now that I have a camera that is all mine, I can take more pictures and possibly make more blog posts. After all, my page's subtitle is "pseudo-blog with picture goodness." My previous entry was on June 2, 2004. That's a little long between entries.
