So P-dizzle Double Gizzle (Parker) suggested that I add a backing track so that it actually sounds like I'm playing something. So I recorded the backing part and rerecorded the solo (which amazingly sounds worse) and I put the two together in one exciting piece. Now it might sound like something you've heard before. But probably not.
So I mentioned in my previous post that I am tired of this pseudo-blog business. And I am. So now this page is gonna turn into the place where I place my crappy guitar recordings. The whole idea is that if I start posting regularly, then I'll start playing regulary. I already play regularly, but not seriously. So if I'm willing to post something that everyone can comment on, then I'll make sure to play regulary and seriously. And this way I'll get better. Or something like that.
So the first thing posted is my take on the Them Bones solo by Alice In Chains, more specifically Jerry Cantrell. It's a cool solo, and my attempt isn't bad for a fourth take. The timing is (way) off, but then I again I was just playing without anything to guide me. Then again, if I was playing to a beat, I would probably screw it up even more.
Props to Sheelpi for asking.
