And that's that

I feel like I should say something profound or inspiring or worthwhile. After all, it's a big moment or something. But it really hasn't hit me yet. I'm done with school (as far as I can tell). My official moment of freedom was at 4:00 PM CST when I turned in my last test. I'm not good at reflecting, so I'll summarize by saying it was fun. A lot of fun. I'll miss the student life. I know that much.

A couple days ago, we went out to Murphy's to celebrate Steve's birthday. I don't really know Steve, but it was cool to go out one last time with the gang. Kelly took pictures and she was cool enough to send me some to put up in the gallery. Thanks!

Shlep should be coming over soon to hang out as he is in town for family reasons. It's too bad that I have leave early tomorrow morning, otherwise we could have gone out again tonight. I'm sorta looking forward to the drive tomorrow in a sick sorta way. Can't explain it.

And to those who don't already know, I'll be leaving for India on the 26th and I'll be back on January 18th. I'm sure I'll make at least a couple updates from the other side of the world.

2 down, 1 to go

That damned class (338) is finally done. No one cares about half that crap, and now I don't have to anymore either.

Friday was fun. We, Enginerds v2.0, bowled for fun against Satisfaction Guaranteed and then switched players around after each game to make the teams more competitive. To make it more interesting, we placed wagers on the game - drinks and desserts for the winners. I, with my superiour bowling skillz (okay, and my team's skills), earned both. The Olive Garden was a nice (but not new) change from the hell that is dorm food.

I've set a new guitar goal for myself - I need to learn the techniques necessary to play Hog Bitch Stomp by Buckethead in 6 months to a year. One year seems like a long time, but the song is hard. Real hard.

Insomniac

So it's about 4:30 in the morning. I've been awake since 2:00 AM. I went to bed at 11:30 PM. Seems about par for this week. I'm sure I'll crash in an hour or so. I'm not sure what the deal is. I'm not really worried or anxious about too much, so I'm at a loss as to explain all this.

My scholastic career is winding down. Only 3 exams to go. Hmm. Maybe this answers the above question. I usually get sick or something around exam time and I usually chalk it up to stress. Not being able to sleep is a new reaction, but I guess it's better than hacking up a lung.

Ram sent me a hilarious Strongbad email - I wonder if I should feel lame for creating (and enjoying) riffs like the ones StrongBad came up with.

Okay, I'm sleepy now...

And so it ends

We had our bowling playoffs tonight. It's pretty cutthroat. 14 teams from the various leagues (we were the monday night league) were in the playoffs and the team with the highest 3 games series wins. It's hard to beat 13 other teams in one go. We did decent and finished 6th. 6th out of all the leagues combined isn't bad. I finished with a 125-135-95. That 95 included consecutive 5-7-10 splits - I don't know how to pick those up.

Less than 3 weeks to go before I am no longer a student at a school. Forever. Whack.
