So what's going on?

I've been watching a lot of movies recently since it is so easy to, uhh, "borrow" them. The best ones of late have been City of God and Gangs Of New York. The Hot Chick takes the award for crappiest movie in a long time.

Tomorrow is the day I get to see Metallica (again) - the excitement might not be the same from the concerts of the past, but I'm still going to enjoy seeing my favorite band. I think the reason for the reduced excitement is that I have already seen them on this tour (sorta) and it's hard to fight the expectation that they can't live up to that show. I'm sure I'll be blown away when the show actually starts, but it's hard to fight the comparison issue now.

Looks like classes are starting on the 27th, so I guess I'll be leaving on the weekend of the 23rd. That gives me exactly 3 more weeks to enjoy living the life of a bum. That just isn't long enough. I know I've already been doing this for over 2 months now, but I've gotten used to it and the thought of doing homework and projects, and grading even more homework and projects is just not appealing. Going back to Champaign also means that I will have no digital camera so I'll need to add more pics before that happens.

Down is a band that should put out another album but probably won't because they are too stupid to keep it together. I say this because I'm listening to them right now, and I realize I want another album, but probably won't get one.

I would request that you chill with us at some point before you leave again but we don't do anything... and I'm usually asleep, doing something out of town, awol, when you're in town anyway.

I just realised that you'd be back on the 16-17th when Akash is in town. I'll try to clear the schedule.

What are we all doing? I suggest alcohol and schnaneggans! (or schlitterbahn)

Fat people should not go to water parks. Thus I veto the Schlitterbahn idea.

I'm also not too keen on schlitterbahn - we can always do something else social like bowling which I miss. I haven't done that since we used to go the lanes in the Union.

okay, no schlitterbahn. bowling's cool, though, I'll get my arse kicked for sure. haven't really bowled (on any consistent basis) in about 8 years.

oh and Akash... that was too easy. Much like your mother...
